How much does digital signage cost for a small business?

Digital signage costs depend on software, screens, hardware, installation and whether you need help creating content.

For small businesses, the best setup is usually the one that is clear to run and easy to expand.

Software cost

Digital signage software is usually charged monthly, annually or per screen. DisplayFlow options start from £10 per screen per month, with simple pricing aimed at small businesses.

The software cost should cover the dashboard, player, playlist management and remote updates.

Screen cost

You may already own a suitable TV or monitor. If not, the screen cost depends on size, brightness, mounting needs and whether it will run for long hours.

Menu boards and window displays may need more careful screen choice than an occasional reception display.

Hardware or media player cost

Some screens can use a built-in browser. Others work better with an Android stick, mini PC, Raspberry Pi or dedicated signage player.

DisplayFlow can also be supplied with optional hardware and annual licence bundles from £175 where a ready-to-use route is preferred.

Installation and brackets

Budget for brackets, power, cabling and safe mounting if the screen is going on a wall or in a public area. A tidy install matters, especially for customer-facing screens.

For simple counter or reception setups, this may be minimal. For multi-screen menus, plan the layout first.

Managed content cost

Some businesses are happy creating their own screen content. Others want help with menu designs, promotions or regular updates.

DisplayFlow may offer managed content/design support where useful, so ask if you want the screen to look polished without handling every design yourself.
